In this talk, art historian and curator JULIA VOSS will take you behind the scenes of the ongoing exhibition "Nature and German History: Faith – Biology – Power" at the German Historical Museum. The exhibition explores 800 years of German history through selected case studies, examining the evolving meaning and significance of nature in historical contexts. Particular emphasis was placed on the sustainable design of the exhibition. The aim was not only to reflect on the sustainable use of natural resources historically, but also to put it into practice. What factors play a role in exhibiting sustainability? What challenges exist? These questions will at the center of Dr. Voss's presentation and discussion with the audience. The event is being held in cooperation with Dartmouth College and will be partly in English.
