DUO SHILUV – Romantic Echoes.Songs and Their Resonance.

Apr 23, 2026 | 07:30 PM

DUO SHILUV—Clara Franz (cello) and Guy Woodcock (classical guitar)—cordially invites you to a special musical experience: a program that brings classical and contemporary music into dialogue and bridges the gap between eras. The name “Shiluv,” Hebrew for fusion and combination, is the guiding principle: The two find connections between different sonic landscapes and explore how classical and contemporary music complement each other and can be experienced anew.

Romantic songs by Franz Schubert, Clara Schumann, Fanny Hensel, and others meet modern works such as Michaela Catranis’ “Von Liebe und Tod” (2022) as well as pieces composed specifically for the duo by Udi Perlman and Clemens Wolf.

With their own arrangements and interpretations, the two create new sonic spaces in which tradition and the present enrich one another. Timeless themes of Romanticism form the framework of the evening: love, longing for the unattainable and the soul of nature. Look forward to a concert that sheds new light on the familiar in a variety of ways!
