The duo Jingyi Cao (flute) and Boyi Ruan (oboe) drew inspiration from the brilliant chamber music of W. F. Bach. While working on this piece, the two musicians, both from China, discovered their shared passion for the unique combination of flute and oboe, which they affectionately call “Floboe.”

Both are soloists with the Neues Kammerorchester Berlin and have already received numerous prizes and awards at major international competitions, such as the International Kuhlau Competition, the Swiss International Competition, and the Paris International Music Competition. At their first concert at IBZ they will perform works by François Devienne, W. F. Bach, and Friedrich Kuhlau.
