 y Turkish girls' soccer team in Europe\, called Ağrı Spor\, was founded in 
 Berlin Kreuzberg. Director Aysun Bademsoy portrayed the female soccer playe
 rs of Turkish origin with their dreams\, victories\, defeats and lifelong f
 riendships. Over a period of 30 years\, she met the young women Arzu\, Türk
 an\, Nalan and Nazan and followed their lives. The film “Players” shows the
  young women from back then\, who are now mothers themselves and have teena
 gers at the age at which they themselves once started out in life. What has
  become of them and their dreams\, what role did soccer play and how foreig
 n or familiar has German society become to them? Aysun Bademsoy's film is o
 ne of the most precise long-term observations in German cinema and a well-f
 ounded contribution to questions of migration and integration\, home and fo
