DESCRIPTION: This concert is less conceived in the classical form of a song
  recital\, but aims to offer a framework in which solo piano works alternat
 e with songs and improvisations that arise entirely from the moment.   Phil
 ine Kanter and Angela Wingerath dedicate themselves to the beauty and richn
 ess of the art song by not stringing the works together\, but rather offeri
 ng a space in which the audience can let the texts and content of the songs
  being performed resonate.   The starting point is formed by late romantic\
 , impressionist or neoclassical works that create a smooth transition from 
 romanticism to modernism. The evening's repertoire includes song and solo p
 iano works by S. Barber\, B. Britten\, F. Chopin\, C. Debussy\, Ph. Glass\,
