DESCRIPTION: Christiane Stier was initially a junior student at the HdK (no
 w UdK) Berlin\, later studying in Detmold with Prof. M. Achilles and R. Wei
 dlich and at the Folkwang-Hochschule Essen with Prof. M. Rütters\, where sh
 e completed her studies with admission to the concert exam. After completin
 g her studies\, she was a flautist with the Northwest German Philharmonic O
 rchestra for eight years. Today she lives as a freelance musician in Berlin
 . She founded the ensemble “Flautissima”\, consisting of 12 flautists\, and
  plays in various chamber music formations. She also works as a teacher.   
 Frauke Jörns was born in Berlin in 1968 and studied piano in Detmold with P
 rof. Winfried Kassebaum\, taking part in various master classes\, including
  with Roberto Szidon as part of the Tibor Varga Festival. She has lived in 
 Berlin again since 1998\, where she works as a freelance pianist and piano 
 teacher. She is committed to contemporary music and performs in various ens
 embles.   The two artists met while studying music together and have now be
 en playing varied and captivating concerts together for many years. On Thur
 sday\, 23.01.2025\, they will take us to the Prussian court\, then to Vienn
 a and finally to Paris. A colorful program with exciting presentations that
  reflects the diversity of flute literature.   Admission free
